1. Introduction
SoleSwap is a marketplace that connects customers with professional, vetted restorers for restoration services.
- SoleSwap does not provide restoration services directly.
- SoleSwap is a middleman platform that facilitates safe transactions and communication between customers and restorers.
- SoleSwap is not responsible for the outcome, speed, or quality of any restoration service.
2. User Agreement
2.1 Customer Agreement
By purchasing a restoration service, customers agree to:
- Pay the full service cost upfront through SoleSwap's payment system.
- Receive the restorer's verified address by email immediately after payment.
- Cover the insurance and shipping cost to the restorer.
- Ship item securely within 3 business days of purchase.
- Understand that all sales are final. No refunds, returns, or cancellations.
- Accept that timelines are estimates only and may vary.
- Accept that quality is subjective and based on the restorer's portfolio.
2.2 Restorer Agreement
By listing services, restorers agree to:
- Maintain accuracy in service descriptions and consistency in quality.
- Complete services within the suggested timelines (see Section 3).
- Ship restored items back using the customer's SoleSwap profile address.
- Cover the cost of return shipping which can be factored into service price.
- Deactivate listings when unable to take new orders.
- Resolve disputes professionally and in good faith.
- Notify customers of any delays.
3. Transaction Process & Timelines
Step 1: Order Placement
Customers purchase a service and must ship to the restorer within 3 business days.
Step 2: Restoration Period
Typically 1–3 weeks, varies depending on materials and the complexity of service.
Step 3: Return Shipping
Restorers ship the finished product back to the customer.
Suggested Estimated Total Turnaround Time: 4–6 weeks
4. Payments & Refunds
- All payments must be processed through SoleSwap's secure system.
- All sales are final. No refunds, returns, or chargebacks.
- SoleSwap may issue a refund only at its sole discretion if a restorer fails to meet professional standards.
5. Shipping & Insurance
- Customers are responsible for securely packaging and shipping their items.
- Tracking is required for all shipments.
- Insurance is strongly recommended to cover both the item's value and the service cost.
- SoleSwap and its restorers are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged packages.
6. Quality & Trust
- SoleSwap only works with verified, professional restorers.
- Customers should review portfolios before purchasing services.
- Results may vary depending on item condition, materials, and service requested.
7. Liability & Disclaimers
SoleSwap is a platform facilitator, not a service provider. SoleSwap is not responsible for:
- Restoration results
- Shipping delays or damages
- Disputes between customers and restorers
8. Dispute Resolution
- Customers and restorers must attempt to resolve issues directly first.
- SoleSwap may mediate disputes but does not guarantee refunds or enforcement of agreements.
- SoleSwap may suspend or remove users who engage in fraud, disputes, or policy violations.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by U.S. law. Users outside the U.S. must comply with their own local laws.
